Jeon Jungkook (전정국), better known as Jungkook (정국) or JK, is a South-Korean singer, songwriter, producer, composer and dancer.
Jungkook was born in Mandeok-Dong, Buk-Gu, Busan, South Korea on September 1, 1997.
Jungkook is the main vocalist, lead dancer, sub-rapper, center and maknae as a member of the biggest boy group in the world, named as BTS. But he also composes and produces some songs. At a very young age, Jungkook was already dreaming about becoming a singer and writing and producing his own songs, that's why he left his hometown to go Seoul. He said that he was influenced by an old south-korean boy group and one of the vocalists, when he was in elementary school.

These are just a few examples of Jungkook talking about his wish to became a composer and producer. He talked about it for a long time until he gets the chance to show how great he is as an producer and lyricist.
In 2011, Jungkook did an audition for South Korea Talent show called Superstar K. He ended up receiving calls from 7 different entertainment agencies. But Jungkook chose Big Hit Entertainment to do his debut as a K-Pop Idol.
Right after the decision, in the summer of 2012, Jungkook, a 14-year-old (already) trainee with boarded the plane to Los Angeles to develop his dancing skills for about a month. He wrote about his experience in this blog (trans only). An interesting fact is that in his blog Jungkook said "TMI: I went to America and suddenly I didn’t want to debut in BTS and I wanted to be a dancer. I just want to dance. So the members bought ice cream to convince me."
"JK: This is the choreography I learned when I first started learning choreographed dancing. I got a lot wrong in the later parts so I’m a bit embarrassed. Heheheh. Looking at this and then the practice video uploaded a few days ago I think I improved a lot hehe."
Jungkook said that when he was at school, when it came to art, music and sports all of the teachers wanted him on board. Jungkook is a multitalented person even when it comes to practice sports or exercising. He has a black belt in taekwondo, he also trained boxing, he's an expert at handball, he runs very fast and precisely, he can swim, he related that he was going to gym 5 times a week and he has astounding flexibility, being capable of doing deep stretches without hurting. Besides being a full time and busy idol, Jungkook attended school at the School of Performing Arts (SOPA) in Seul from 2014 to 2017. On graduation, Jungkook received the “Special Achievement Award” for his successful debut as an idol and his hard work as a high school student, proving himself to be an excellent role model. Even with his busy routine, Jungkook is so smart and responsible that he could kept high grades in the subjects when he ended school.

Jungkook is the main vocalist of BTS and his vocals are constantly praised by experts, music coaches and idol trainees. Also, korean netizens keep praising Jungkook, and through them and experts, phrases like "Jungkook's voice is so sweet!" and "He does high notes so effortlessly." are common.

Jungkook dedicates biggest amounts of efforts to dance. He's a part of the BTS Dance Line and is the lead dancer of BTS. Since his travel to LA he keeps improving his dancing skills and practicing to give the better version of himself on the stages. Jungkook was praised by ballerinas and dance teachers because he's a really good dancer with awesome skills and relevant techniques. He gave a part of his heart for the art of dancing and even though about quit trainee life do became a dancer. No matter what people say, he's still one of the best dancers in the world.
